Celebrated in Russia on June 1, International Children’s Day is a holiday honoring small children.

As a rule, today there are many parties, children’s television programs, meals, and all that stuff))

"June 1st will also see the unveiling of a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Beslam school tragedy. Officials will hold the unveiling ceremony in front of the Church of Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Kulishki in Moscow. Russia also introduced an anti-child abuse campaign, Russia – Without Child Abuse, this week".

"Dmitry Medvedev said in a statement on Tuesday: “It is a well-known truth that there is no such thing as somebody else's children. This is why it is important to react rapidly to each specific case of child abuse, doing more to prevent social orphans and homelessness, and, of course, to create an atmosphere of zero tolerance in society regarding any violence towards children.”
